My favorite Celtic design is the Claddagh. The Claddagh is an Irish design that has three elements that are combined, but have distinct meanings. The heart represents love, the crown signifies loyalty, and the hands symbolize friendship. …and it is pronounced /ˈkɛltɪk/ with a hard ‘k’ sound, not a soft ‘c’ sound like the names…

Three sketches: a fly that is on fire, a firefly (lampyridae), and a fire that flies (it has wings.) The sarcasm is immense.
