2022.07.15 – Honeycomb
Seven pentagons attached in a symmetrical pattern. To ensure everyone knows that this pattern is representative of honeycomb, I added a bee. The addition of the bee ensures everyone can identify this sketch as honeycomb and NOT seven pentagons in a symmetrical pattern. Yup. I did that. You’re welcome.

Two sets of three mice wearing sunglasses. Only heads, though, so no canes.

2022.07.11 – Noah’s Ark
Big boat with animals. Big boat with dove above it. (Hey! That rhymed! I’m a poet and didn’t know it!)

2022.07.10 – Fleur-de-lis
The classic French symbol: Fleur-de-lis. Used by French royalty since King Clovis I, this symbol has come to be used to represent the French monarch’s divine right to rule. My apologies to the French monarchy for my rendition, which is not very well done. No insult is intended.

2022.07.07 – Rubber Ducky in a Bubble Bath
Three pictures. A rubber ducky. A rubber ducky in a bubble (in a) bath, and a bubble bath. The ones on the left and right were me trying to draw the elements (a rubber ducky and a bubble bath. The middle one was me trying to be… well… me. I used the lack of punctuation…

2022.07.06 – Alphabet Soup
It’s soup made with noodles that are shaped like letters of the English (Latin) alphabet. Fun fact: only two types of alphabet soup are produced. Greek (called “ABC Soup”) and languages that use the English (Latin) alphabet. Huh. NOTE: That “fun fact” is NOT the result of a scientific study or analysis. It is a…

2022.07.05 – Crystal Ball
Two balls made of crystal. On pedestals. I tried some shading on the left one and tried to show it’s translucence.

2022.07.04 – Bubbling Cauldron
Two attempts at drawing a bubbling cauldron. I get points for effort, right?!?
-
2022.07.03 – Bushel of Carrots
Three sketches. The right and left are my attempts to draw a single carrot. The middle sketch is a bushel of carrots, which when purchased (in the United States) is 50 pounds of carrots. Officially, a bushel is 64 U.S. pints (roughly 35 liters) in the U.S. and 8 imperial gallons (roughly 36 liters) in…

2022.07.02 – Artichoke
I think artichokes are delicious! Other than the pointy sharp bits and the difficulty in actually getting to the meat of the vegetable, they’re awesome (and beautiful)!
-
2022.07.01 – Colosseum
The ancient Roman colosseum as it appears now (ruins.) The wonder and majesty of the building is contrasted with the brutality of the events held within.
-
2022.06.30 – Piñata
Just saying the word “piñata” sounds fun and exciting… everybody loves piñatas. Parties with piñatas are always fun for everyone (except the piñata.)
-
2022.06.29 – Stop Sign
A stop sign, an upraised hand (a symbol for “halt” or “stop”), and the international “no” symbol.
-
2022.06.28 – Warrior

2022.06.27 – Olympic Medals
Three sketches of the entries in the PTotE for the metals: Gold, Silver, and Bronze (bronze is a composite metal and not in the PTotE). I don’t know why I’m this way… Two sketches of victory medals. PTotE – Periodic Table of the Elements (Trying to prevent some Google searches… hehehe)
