My favorite Celtic design is the Claddagh. The Claddagh is an Irish design that has three elements that are combined, but have distinct meanings. The heart represents love, the crown signifies loyalty, and the hands symbolize friendship.
…and it is pronounced /ˈkɛltɪk/ with a hard ‘k’ sound, not a soft ‘c’ sound like the names of certain athletic teams. Thank you for your time, this has been a TED talk.
