Three pictures. A rubber ducky. A rubber ducky in a bubble (in a) bath, and a bubble bath.
The ones on the left and right were me trying to draw the elements (a rubber ducky and a bubble bath. The middle one was me trying to be… well… me.
I used the lack of punctuation to go on a tangent with this drawing. Here is why punctuation is so important in English (a story):
A professor wrote the following sentence on the board and asked the class to punctuate it: “Woman without her man is nothing.”
Half of the class punctuated the sentence in the following way: “Woman: without her, man is nothing.”
The other half of the class responded with the following: “Woman, without her man, is nothing.”
Lesson for the day: punctuation is important. Thank you for your time. This has been my TED talk.
