I saw this preying mantis on the ground. It seemed injured. It did not move as I walked past it on the hot asphalt. I didn’t want someone to kill it (accidentally or purposely), so I picked it up. It attached itself to me and clung on while we went grocery shopping. It decided to return to the wild when we got back home. I enjoyed my time shopping with The Mantis.
This insect was not harmed during this photo shoot. It traveled with me in my car for a few miles, clung on to me while I shopped in a local grocery store, then jumped off my pant leg into a bush near my home. It seemed happy to pose for pictures and even looked at the camera during the photo shoot.
